Most people loves to blog. Do you blog? Have you ever wonder whether you should use WordPress and a domain when you start to blog?
By the way, why should you blog?
The reason is simple … Blogging can be made easy if you can blog in an informal way using your own personal style (U.S.P. style). If your blog content is unique, fresh and updated regularly, you will make the search engine spiders crawling more often to your website, and ultimately will lead to quicker indexing .. You know, search engines just love fresh content, so make sure you provide them with it.
Blogging is a great and effective way to get lots of quality backlinks to your blog, thus boosting your blog’s Page Rank, especially if it is a keyword-rich blog with great content. Nowadays, content is king, and by providing quality original content all over your blogs, you will quickly boost your search engine rankings much faster than anything else.
Ok, why should you host your WordPress blog on a domain?
If you could possibly host your unique “fresh-content” blog on your domain, that will be great. It’s definitely better as your blog will definitely look more professional and you will come across a well respected expert in your niche market. Also, with all the great WordPress plugins, it certainly make more sense to host your WordPress blog with a domain.
Another reason why you should host your blog on WordPress with your own domain is because it’s safer that way and at anytime you can save your precious contents and data on your computer…
Why is keeping your own data and content of your WordPress blog important?
You see, no one knows what may happen to your blog if you maintain a free blog at Blogger’s account … Do I have a case to on this?
Recently, I stumbled upon a post written by Buzz.blogger.com on August 2nd which posts that Blogger (Google) mistakenly marked some Blogger’s blogs as spam. As a result, the owners of Blogger blogs had difficulty accessing their blogs. So, they (Blogger) apologized and later fixed the Friday’s bugs.

Now, come to think of it, can you imagine your free Blogger’s blog’s post and data all gone if you didn’t save your own contents and data in your own computer? That will be a complete waste of your time and effort doing blogging especially if you have unique fresh contents on your blog!
In conclusion, it does make alot of sense to host your WordPress blog on your own domain.
